Group Fitness Class Descriptions
Barre Classes: Fusing fitness techniques from Yoga, Pilates and Ballet, with fluid athletic intervals. The perfect combination of strength and flexibility, with an added cardiovascular workout.
Circuit Express: Are you ready to take your workout to the next level? A combination of cardio and strength exercise using different equipment options to keep you on your toes. There is no set format. Every class is different, but every class includes cardio and strength training exercises. Your instructor will lead and challenge you to new heights in your workouts. Get ready to work while having fun! All fitness levels welcome.
Cycle: A cardiovascular workout on a stationary bike set to music. A resistance knob on the bike dictates the intensity of the ride so each participant can ride at their level. Our Spinner bikes are compatible with Shimano SPD cleats or you may wear tennis shoes
Embody: Do you have issues with your soft tissues--muscles that are tight and have painful knots? Good news there are drug-free ways to help! Embody uniquely combines specific stretches with self-soft-tissue massage and release techniques that work to improve muscle function and mobility while reducing muscle tension and trigger points. Enjoy faster recovery, improved circulation, and flexibility. Embody classes help you to relax and have a little fun exploring ways to resolve the issues within your tissues.
Group Power is Your Hour Of Power! This 60-minute barbell program strengthens all your major muscles in an inspiring, motivating group environment with fantastic music and awesome instructors. With simple, athletic movements such as squats, lunges, presses and curls, Group Power is for all ages and fitness levels. Discover results, discover Group Power!
Mix It Up: A cardio and strength based class combining segments of various activities that may include interval training, sculpt, step and ball. Come “Mix your workout Up”
Pilates/ Pilates Express: mat work classes combine stretching and strengthening moves that build core strength, improve posture and increase flexibility. Exercises focus on coordinating the breath while engaging the abs, lower back, hips and glutes when executing the moves
Sculpt Express: Work your muscles in every way possible in this class designed to build strength, add definition, and increase your bone density. You will use hand weights, plate loaded barbells, tubing and your own body weight to change the shape of your body. No muscle gets neglected in this class! Modifications will be made for all fitness levels.
Silver Sneakers® Classic: Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.
Yoga/ Yoga Express: In this class, you will perform sequences of yoga postures and stretches that are linked to the breath. Yoga combines strength, rejuvenation, flexibility and balance. Yoga benefits the mind, body and spirit!
Zumba®: This class fuses hypnotic musical rhythms and tantalizing moves to create a dynamic workout that's fun and easy to do. The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavor and international zest into the mix and you've got ZUMBA!
